Announcing Demi was tonight’s hilarious host Tracee Ellis Ross and the camera immediately cut to Demi sitting in the audience with a microphone looking stone cold as heck.
All of a sudden it cut to a ton of tweets from some Demi haters covering the stage screens.
She stood up and walked to the stage delivered a powerful message saying QUOTE, “There’s so much hate in this world. We have to rise above and never say sorry for who you are.”
And with her backup dancers in tow she broke out into Sorry Not Sorry looking boss in baggy black pants and what may or may not be a bedazzled bodysuit.
Whatever it was, she looked incredible sporting extra long, sleek black hair that was very reminiscent of prime Cher.
With amazing vocals, flashing red lights and an entire choir going wild in the best way possible behind her, this performance definitely stands out as one of Demi’s best.
BTS fans were especially stoked to see the boys get cut to in the crowd. Jungkook was definitely hype and having a great time while also munchin’ a snack.
Dancing and eating at the same time. Super relatable to be honest.
Earlier in the night she arrived at the carpet in a stunning black strapless dress with her date Danica Roem, the first openly transgender state legislator.
Dem told E! News QUOTE, “My story with ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ is about bullying and I wanted to have her in the audience with me tonight because I feel like we have been through some of the same things and now get to share this experience together.”
So what did you think of Demi’s statement performance? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below. I’m your host Ava Gordy, thanks for watching Clevver and I’ll see you next time.
