Lady Gaga Sets Stage On FIRE With "The Cure" 2017 AMAs Performance

So we may not have the fancy things, but Lady Gaga gave us EVEYTHING during her 2017 AMA performance tonight. Although she wasn’t physically at the AMAs, Gaga kicked off her performance of “The Cure” during her Joanne World Tour stop in Washington D.C. with nothing but the sound of her unmistakable vocal runs and a few seamless piano notes (yeah, name a more iconic pairing – I’ll wait).
In true Gaga fashion, she then broke out in dance moves on top of a rising stage, backed by dancers and insane pyrotechnics as the song picked up. She donned an elaborate metallic fringe costume and long luscious curls so big, you know that cure was hidden somewhere up in there.
But not only did Gaga get the honor of performing the song during her own tour which just so happened to be broadcasted live for the world to see, she also took home the AMA for best pop/rock female and even accepted the award onstage.
Seriously, how cool is that?! Gaga first debuted “The Cure” as a special surprise for Coachella-goers earlier this year, but tonight’s AMA set marked her first televised performance of the track… like, ever.
