Pokok Sena MP Mahfuz Omar was livid over the recent addition of instant noodles to the list of items that will be slapped with the 6% Goods and Services Tax.
Mahfuz believes that it is unfair to impose GST on "dry noodles or laksa" as it is consumed largely by lower-income groups and students, claiming that Malaysians burn through 1.3 billion packets of instant noodles in a year.
