Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim said he has sent a letter to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Azhar Azizan Harun to ask him to determine the truth over contradictory statements from two ministers over the cabotage policy.
He also called for the minister who had lied to be referred to the parliamentary rights and privileges committee.
Sim pointed out how the Transport Ministry's answer to Parliament on the Apricot subsea cable project contradicted the answer provided by the Communications and Multimedia Ministry.
He said it was impossible that both of them are right and one must have lied and twisted the facts.
