Klang MP Charles Santiago has questioned why Putrajaya was only willing to foot 60 percent of the cost to buy out Splash.
He said for the take over of Puncak Niaga, Syabas, and Abbas (in 2014), the federal government had paid 100 percent through Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) and questioned why they only offered to pay 60 percent for Splash.
He added that the state government could not prevent the water shortage last week as it did not have the authority to enter the Splash-owned water treatment facility and only the federal government could do so.
