Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has called for patience as the Shah Alam Coroner's Court holds an inquest to determine fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim's cause of death.
The 24-year-old was part of a Fire and Rescue Department team that had been deployed in response to vehicles that were torched by rioters near the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in USJ 25, Subang Jaya.
However, the rioters attacked the personnel forcing them to flee.
Authorities claim Adib was dragged out of his vehicle and beaten up, causing him to suffer several broken ribs and injuries to multiple organs. He died from the injuries on Dec 17.
