Muhyiddin Yassin should take a leaf out of his predecessor’s book and relinquish his posts in Bersatu and Perikatan Nasional, according to Umno supreme council member Mohd Puad Zarkashi.

He was referring to former premier Najib Abdul Razak, who stepped down from Umno and BN when the coalition was defeated in the 14th general election in 2008.

Furthermore, he pointed out that Najib, who is currently serving a six-year prison term, was not even charged at the time whereas the PN chairperson and Bersatu president has multiple strikes under his belt.
