Najib: Don't single people deserve aid?

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has questioned Putrajaya's decision to cease giving cost of living aid (BSH) to single individuals.
"Not everyone is married. Many people who are not married, are poor and live in hardship. Some are disabled.
"Do they not deserve aid? Life under Pakatan Harapan is not as it was before," Najib tweeted.
He shared a screenshot of an announcement from the Inland Revenue Board that those married to non-Malaysians, single parents without dependents, and single individuals were not eligible for BSH payouts this year.
