Caretaker prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has announced that taxi drivers who qualify for the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) will get automatic approval.
Najib also announced RM53.6 million worth of aid for taxi drivers nationwide.
The money will be used to provide 67,000 taxi drivers with 1Malaysia Taxi Aid cards, which allows them to pump RM800 worth of fuel.
