In the final Umno general assembly before the 14th general election (GE14), party president Najib Abdul Razak has proclaimed that Umno would rule for the next 1,000 years.
"Umno will continue to be fresh, to live and lead, not just for the next 30 years, but, Insya Allah, for another 1,000 years!" Najib said, to cheers from delegates at the 71st Umno general assembly.
Speaking at the Putra World Trade Centre today, Najib asked if Umno was prepared for the general election, with delegates roaring to signal their readiness.
