The Employees Provident Fund's (EPF) investment in the US is part of its global investment strategies to enable contributors to enjoy higher dividends, according to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
He said the US investments have brought higher returns of 11.1% to the EPF compared with about 7% when investing in the local market.
During a recent meeting with US President Donald Trump, Najib announced that the EPF sought to invest US$3 to 4 billion to support "infrastructure redevelopment in the US."
