While nations always look forward with new age thinking this year's Malaysia 60th National Day celebration rekindles the past's glory with a reenactment of the declaration of independence on 31 August 1957 at the Merdeka Stadium.The venue is fast forwarded to the Dataran Merdeka and the recreation of the day brings back an aura that the younger generations have not felt before.This year's theme Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa is celebrated in a bigger dimension with a 200x9m giant LED screen placed at the Dataran Merdeka for a myriad of multimedia performances and colourful parades.
