The Lim sisters, aged 85 and 87, have been running the show at this curry mee stall for over 73 years! From the times when a bowl just costs 5 cents to now a few Ringgit these inseparable sisters are indeed an icon at this market stall. The very spicy curry mee, Penang style, has not changed. The soup is still charcoal fired. From the video you can see that now the sisters are the taking it easy and leaves the managing to their grandniece , Ms Ong, who has been helping out for a while and decided to quit her job to do it full-time. This is indeed a good sign and contrasts the fact that the younger generations do not want to carry on their family's business..
Nevertheless the nostalgic ambience of this 'heritage site' still draws the crowd via social media and word of mouth.
