And Ryan Gosling couldn’t have said it better – it wasn’t over, and it STILL isn’t over, so be prepared to weep on a weekly basis.
This is not a drill people, Nicholas Sparks’ undoubtedly most famous novel-turned-dobfest, featuring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gorgeous Gosling is in talks of heading to the small screen. Sources from E! News say that The CW has a script in the works with Sparks as an executive producer.
The new TV series would still be based on the book and the movie, and would follow "the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie" from the beginning, watching their love unfold "against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina."
The show, which is said to be a "hyper-stylized, gritty adaptation" of the classic novel, has not yet released hints of who will be starring as the lead characters, but one can only hope that Rachel and Ryan will be making their epic return as the love birds that gave us all the #relationshipgoals and feels.
