DAP deputy secretary-general Nga Kor Ming said all parties in the unity government should focus on their efforts to ensure stability and not dredge up past problems.

He said this when asked about Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh calling on DAP to publicly apologise to Umno over condemnations made when the parties were foes.

Speaking at a press conference in Ipoh, Perak yesterday, Nga said he backed Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's statement that all component parties must unite to defend the unity government.
