Electoral reform group Bersih together with Suara Rakyat Malaysia (Suaram), Pusat Komas as well as other NGOs launched the Pemantau campaign in a press conference held at the Kuala Lumpur Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall today.
Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah said that the Pemantau campaign is a citizen's initiative to prevent electoral fraud and offences in the upcoming general election and will be monitoring the Election Commission (EC), political parties as well as election candidates during the election period.
