As if we needed more proof, Niall just showed us how talented(?) of a songwriter he truly is.
Although One Direction has announced their indefinite hiatus, the wounds have healed quicker as each member has debuted successful solo projects, but Niall Horan’s newest duet featuring the one and only Jimmy Fallon might just take the cake.
Together, the two took on the Instant Song Challenge, where fans submitted made-up names of songs to which they were challenged to create original lyrics that coincide with the titles. So sit back and be amazed as these two create masterpieces with nothing but a few instruments and their grade-A vocals:
The two switched things up following their Metallica-inspired piece called “Witness the Fitness” into the next Irish-folk-like melody dubbed, “Quickly Clicky Pens”:
Niall seemed to be particularly drawn to that with his Irish roots, but things slowed all the way down during the final song of the challenge called, “Stepping on Toes”, one ballad that is sure to become the next chart-topping gold…
So these may not be LEGIT songs set to be released, but hey, I think we can all agree that any musical projects Niall or any member of One Direction releases has platinum potential, so on that note (no pun intended) I want to know which one of these hits YOU think is to become the next No. 1 single? Ok so that’s a stretch, but share all your thoughts on Niall and Jimmy’s hilarious challenge down here in the comments, and after that, be sure to click right over here to get the details on Bieber’s refusal to sing Despacito in concert… ouch!
