When it comes to being influential, the name Nicki Minaj definitely comes to mind.
She’s been named one of the most influential people of 2016, so keeping up her rep, Nicki Minaj dedicated her latest performance of ‘Anaconda’ to two men we are all very familiar with.
Let me just tell you right now, Nicki Minaj is a lady boss. The superstar was named one of Time Magazine’s most influential people of 2016 and she attended the star-studded gala hosted by the mag to celebrate all the influential honorees dressed in all black everything from a sheer lacy mini dress to thigh high black boots, Nicki looked absolutely drop dead gorgeous. She was also honored in an extra special way, as a performer for the gala. She took the stage to kill hits like ‘Truffle Butter,’ ‘Superbass,’ and ‘Feeling Myself.’ Check it out.
But it was her performance of Anaconda that got everybody talking. Before she began the song, Nicki introduced the song by dedicating it to none other than Donald Trump and Joe Biden saying QUOTE “I’m very political and I would like to dedicate a song in the spirit of unity to Joe Biden and Donald Trump.” She then posed a funny question asking the audience “Who do you think likes the biggest butts? Donald Trump or Joe Biden? Trump?” And then naturally, she went on to slay her performance.
Throughout her time onstage, Nicki praised all the independent women in the crowd saying QUOTE “If you don’t need a man to buy you a car or a house, make some motherfucking noise.” Minaj is known for empowering women and she continued the streak also warning all the fellas out saying QUOTE “If you don’t know how to treat your woman, there are 100 dudes lined up ready to treat her like a queen.”
So just in case any of you needed a little power this morning, there ya go. Before she left the stage she gave some love to all her fans, men and women, saying QUOTE “Keep striving to the top, keep being the best you can be, and kick ass next year too.” I mean, I’m feelin better about my Tuesday already.
But how about you guys? What did you think of Nicki’s killer performance and everything she said? And who do YOU think likes the biggest butts?
