Prime minister Anwar Ibrahim said he had been attacked for directing all agencies to be firm and investigate the misconduct of leaders, past or present, in cases of corruption but the government will remain firm in its stance against corruption.
Anwar also urged civil servants to cooperate fully in combating corruption to save the country from various abuses of power and misappropriation of wealth.
