Umno remains committed to supporting the leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim until the end of his term.
According to party secretary-general Ahmad Maslan, this is to ensure political stability in the country.
This comes following the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s decree that he wished to see Anwar be the last leader to be appointed as Malaysia’s prime minister during his reign as king, which ends next year.
