Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Dr Noraini Ahmad told the Dewan Rakyat that a beggar who drove a sport utility vehicle will no longer receive an allowance from the Welfare Department.

She said the man was asked to make a formal pledge not to beg any more, and his RM450 person-with-disability monthly allowance was terminated.

Noraini was responding to a question from Mohd Sany Hamzan (PH-Hulu Langat) who wanted to know the actions of KPWKM and JKM after a video about the beggar went viral.
