Niall Horan and Harry Styles want an end to their war with the Biebs and they ask Beliebers and Directioners- can’t we all just get along?
One Direction- well, specifically Niall and Harry- were being interviewed about their new album when someone called out the elephant in the room- no not the elephant named Zayn. The other one, named Justin Bieber.
Justin’s new album- Purpose- and One Direction’s new album “Made in the A.M.” are dropping on the exact same day. November 13th. And if you’re a Directioner or if you’re a Belieber or if you’re both- this divide has probably seemed more helpless than the battle between Israelis and Palestinians. But fans, let’s proudly hold out our white flags and yell PEACE. Because this war ends today. In an interview with a Belgium reporter, Niall said, “There is no need for a fight, if they are fighting. We just happen to be releasing our albums on the same day. It’s happened to us before; our first couple of albums were released on the same day as Rihanna.” Well, well, well… I didn’t remember that but touché. “I think the press have just made a bit of a deal out of it because it’s us and Justin Bieber,” he continued. “It’s fine. You know you’re gonna be up against someone in the charts — it just happens that we have fallen on the same day.” Harry chimed in, too.
Well said, Harry. He added, it’s not a win or lose thing, and that fighting for sales with Justin is just not what it’s about. How mature. So how does that make you feel? I’m relieved.
