Local authorities will keep working with Petronas to provide safety briefings and run emergency drills for residents living near gas pipelines, said Deputy Minister M Kulasegaran.
He said two engagement sessions have already been held this month for residents in the Rasah area.
Earlier, Rasah MP Cha Kee Chin asked whether the government planned to take stronger preventive measures after the Petronas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights in April.
