PKR MP responds to warning from Umno leader with sarcastic poem

Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Abdul Karim has penned more poems that appear to mock attempts to silence criticisms on issues, which could jeopardise the stability of the current government led by two former political rivals from PKR and Umno.

Titled “For this Rule”, Hassan's poem today contained lines that referred to Umno supreme council member Ahmad Shabery Cheek's response to his initial statement, where he sympathised with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's dilemma in dealing with his deputy, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s corruption cases.

Previously, Shabery had warned against a "government killing virus" of open criticisms among leaders, which he said ended Pakatan Harapan's first tenure in Putrajaya after just 22 months in power.
