Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's official vehicle was spotted heading inside the Kedahpalace in Kuala Lumpur this morning, strengthening speculation of a change in the menteri besar of Kedah very soon.
Najib's car, with the number plate W 11 N, was spotted entering the Darul Aman palace about 8.18am.
The visit today comes ahead of the Umno supreme council meeting later this afternoon, at which Kedah's embattled MB Mukhriz Mahathir is scheduled to attend.
Mukhriz is facing a crisis of confidence in the state after his deputy in the state Umno leadership, Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, declared that the BN assemblypersons do not have confidence in Dr Mahathir Mohamad's son leading the state.
