PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has hit out at the apointment of five politicians as new assemblypersons to the Pahang state assembly by the BN-led ruling coalition, which was passed with a simple majority in the state assembly yesterday.

In a press conference, Tuan Ibrahim said they were not against the amendment of the state constitution, which allows for the appointment of up to five nominated assemblypersons, however the appointments should have been from NGOs and minorities.
