The police spent 80-minutes recording statements from Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua over a video in which he made allegations against Prime Minsiter Najib Abdul Razak.
After being grilled at Bukit Aman, Pua was taken away in a police vehicle at about 11.40am.
According to Pua's lawyer Lim Lip Eng he was put under police custody and was being escorted to his office in Petaling Jaya to get his phone.
It is understood that investigations were being conducted under Section 500 of the Penal Code, which relates to criminal defamation.
