The police said that they are still continuing to track down the former husband of M Indira Gandhi, despite numerous failed efforts in the past five years.
"We wish to stress that there is an ongoing effort to track down and detain K Pathmanathan @ Muhammad Riduan Abdullah since May 30, 2014, based on a warrant of committal issued by the High Court in Ipoh," said Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd.
"Although we had issued statements seeking the cooperation of the public and Riduan himself to contact the police, none of the efforts bore fruit," Wan Ahmad said.
