In the wake of several Hong Kong radio stations' reporting that 1MDB-linked businessperson Low Taek Jho has been arrested, Inspector-General of Police Ahmad Fuzi Harun today said that the police are unable to confirm if the arrest was made.
Low, whose last known location was in Macau is wanted by the Malaysian authorities for assistance into ongoing probes into the scandals surrounding 1MDB.
Previously, a spokesperson for Low said that the billionaire is willing to offer his cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
