The power to permit or pull the plug on the "German Food and Beverage Festival" scheduled to be held in Klang on Oct 12 and 13 lies with the local authorities and not the police, inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said.
He also responded to critics who accused the police of barring the festival in the absence of concrete reasons saying that the police did not agree to the event because there is a real threat with regards to the issue and had advised the respective authority.
