When you think of the holidays, you probably don’t think “Pringles”...which is probably what prompted these new products.
Pringles is rolling out a new product that’s a Thanksgiving Dinner tray, featuring 8 new flavors based on all your favorite Thanksgiving classic--and yes, that includes a pumpkin pie flavored potato chip. Not sure if I’m intrigued or mildly disgusted at the sound of that…
The tray features flavors including Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Creamed Corn, Green Bean Casserole, Mac & Cheese and Pumpkin Pie. The chip varieties are cleverly packaged in a TV dinner-like tray, and they definitely went above and beyond with the concept, because they also have a “Leftover Sandwich” stack, with features the turkey, stuffing and a mashed potato chips all stacked together. If you’re already like, holy crap this sounds amazing where can I get it?! Unfortunately this is just a pilot taste test and isn’t available in retail stores in 2017, but hey maybe if we tweet about it enough Pringles will supply our demand?!
In other Pringles holiday news, A British retailer called B&M released Pringles advent calendars earlier this month, which is exactly what it sounds like: A box of mini tubs of Pringles counting down the 12 days until Christmas. The advent calendars have become so popular they’re actually selling out, and some people are even selling the $10 boxes on Ebay for three times what they’re worth. So if THAT’S an item you don’t think you can live without, then get on Ebay before they sell out or go up in price even MORE. Wow guys, 2017 has been a unique year in more ways than one.
