Bank Negara governor Datuk Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus says Malaysia’s private investment growth slowed to 0.4% in the first quarter of March 31, 2019 (1Q2019) due to heightened uncertainty in global trade negotiations and lingering weaknesses in the property segment. Going forward, she expects private investments to grow in 2019 on the back of on-going projects and capacity expansion in the manufacturing and services sectors.
