Hundreds of pro-Lynas individuals gathered in Kuantan, Pahang this afternoon, amid the government’s conditional renewal of the company’s licence.
The group's spokesperson, Mimi Afzan Afza Abdullah, who is vice-president (people and culture) of the company, urged the government to review its decision to stop the cracking and leaching (C&L) facility of the Lynas plant in Gebeng, Kuantan.
Participants of the rally carried banners voicing support for Lynas, and some even urged intervention from the Pahang palace to help them.
The group claimed that the government's decision to stop the Lynas plant’s facility has put the livelihoods of thousands at risk.
