DRA-MA! There is trouble brewing on the interwebs between fans of two of our all-time favorite bands -- R5 & The Vamps...but before you get carried away here, it's NOT the bands who are feuding. It's actually the fans! So here's the story -- earlier this week, The Vamps released their latest music video for their song with Demi Lovato "Somebody to You," and in an awesome twist (in my opinion), our girl Laura Marano was cast in the lead role as a love interest to Brad. The video is great -- Laura looks so cute and the band looks to be having a blast, too. But it seems as though R5 fans, and much more specifically, people who ship RAURA -- aka they want Ross Lynch and Laura Marano to date; well, these people were not happy to see one half of their dream couple cozying up to another guy in a music video. (Screech sound) -- I'm sorry did I just say that people aren't happy Laura is in the video?- Okay, well that's weird, But my friends, I'm here to lay down one important fact: Laura's role in the video is this little thing called ACTING! Have you heard of it??? It means, she was hired to pretend to be into Brad in the music video. It's her JOB! Apparently the backlash on twitter was so wild, Jame from the Vamps had to a post a tweet saying "We don't pick the guys and girls who appear in our music videos. They are trained actors and actresses casted by the director." So there you go. But that's not the only complaint, some fans think The Vamps are trying to steal R5's thunder by having Laura in their video. Again, and Iove your passion here, but none of this is true. In fact, just a few nights ago Laura hit up R5's how in New York and she and Ross posted this picture. Guys, even Rydel posted a pic with Laura, so we know that all is good in the hood. Plus, shall I remind you all that R5 and the Vamps are actually friends. They've even performed together.
Riddle me this -- does that look like a bunch of people who don't like each other? No, no, it doesn't. And now for my final piece of evidence: I give you this tweet that The Vamps posted after the Somebody to You video came out -- "We Miss you @Officialr5." And guys, R5 responded saying "coming to London soon! Let's hang dudes." If this twitter convo doesn't squash this whole drama, then I don't know what will. Hit the comments section to weigh in on this dramatic story that actually isn't so dramatic after -- can't we all just get along? There's enough Laura Marano love for everyone! I rest my case. And click here to check out our exclusive series with R5 -- I'm Joslyn Davis at Clevver headquarters, thanks for watching and we'll see you later!
