KTM Bhd and MMC Corp Bhd are in talks to expand and upgrade the rail line from Port of Tanjung Pelepas to the Pasir Gudang Port as a move to relief traffic congestion and promote a more effective logistics system. Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said his ministry had asked both parties to carry out a study on the expansion of the 77km railway to boost the state’s logistics sector and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.
