The Health Ministry today reported 6,440 new Covid-19 cases; this marks the first time cases have been at over 6,000 since June 11th.

This is also the second day in a row with rising case numbers.

On Wednesday, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong decreed that Parliament should reconvene as soon as possible to allow MPs to debate the emergency laws and the National Recovery Plan.

Commenting on the matter, opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim said, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is now left with two options.
