Riverdale drops a super creepy trailer for season 3 at Comic Con.
Get ready for a time jump and a new cult storyline.
The Riverdale gang is back together after the worst summer ever. The CW dropped the first trailer for the upcoming 3rd season during the Riverdale panel at Comic Con on Sunday. If you recall, the end of season 2 saw everything go back to normal, but with one major bombshell: Archie was arrested for the murder of Cassidy Bullock. The first footage of season 3 reveals a three-month time jump. We pick up at Labor Day weekend with the four headed out on a weekend getaway.

Is it just us, or did this footage look a little TOO perfect? Something is definitely not right here. As you saw, Archie is now free. KJ Apa has previously revealed that the 3rd season will show Archie’s trial, so we’re guessing that will happen in the form of flashbacks. Check out the final moments of the season 3 trailer, unveiling an eerie cult-like storyline.

That’s not something you see every day. Betty found Polly and her Mom in the backyard holding the twin’s over a bonfire during some sort of ceremony ritual.
