PARLIAMENT The government revealed today it entered into a contract of more than RM1.6 billion for the building and maintenance of Kuala Lumpur Women and Children's Hospital through direct tender.
Deputy Health Minister Dr Hilmi Yahya told the Dewan Rakyat that the hospital was built for RM848 million by Konsortium Prohawk Sdn Bhd.
Replying to Rafizi Ramli (PKR-Pandan) during Question Time, Hilmi said the consortium was also given another 25-year contract for building maintenance, asset management and facilities maintenance, at a tune of about RM75 million a year.
