The government’s MySejahtera app will be a prerequisite for those seeking to redeem the RM50 e-wallet credit previously announced by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin as part of the National Economic Recovery Plan (Penjana).

Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this is to encourage more people to download and use the app.

“This application enables the Health Ministry to take prompt, precise, and effective action to identify and alert close contacts if there is a Covid-19 infection in the community.

“As announced by Muhyiddin in his Penjana address, the government will credit RM50 into users’ e-wallet after they download the MySejahtera app, to encourage the use of the app,” he said at his daily press conference on the Covid-19 situation today.
