A press conference called by Warisan president Shafie Apdal yesterday amid talk of a coup plot to oust the GRS-led Sabah government and Chief Minister Hajiji Noor, did not go on as planned.

Oriental Daily reported that local journalists who were informed about the special media conference to be held at a hotel in Kota Kinabalu at 4.30pm were later told about the cancellation of the event at 6.45pm.

Prior to this, several Warisan representatives were spotted at the scene while food and beverage were served to individuals who appeared at the event.
