The Home Ministry will not compromise with any police personnel who attempt to bar members of the public from lodging a police report, said its minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

However, he told reporters that members of the public should still abide by dress codes that have been set.

We consider the matter closed, meaning that we don’t agree with the actions of the personnel concerned. We don’t compromise when it comes to police preparedness to receive reports, he said.
