See red durian flowers bloom in Seremban !

This is a rare glimpse of an natural phenomena that we seldom see or realise. We ventured into Mr Kok's private durian plantation in the outskirts of Seremban and were given a tour of his over 50-tree farm to witness a colourful display of Nature. His decade old durian species are now in full bloom ! You will see a "sea of red " durian flowers on almost 30-40 tree. And this happens twice a year, sometime in June and September. However, according to Mr Kok, the bloom just lasts for a few hours ! Yes, the flowers open up fully and they often  drop to the ground over a 24-hour period... a very unusual phenomena Nature you can even "taste" the flowers  and they seem to taste like wine and is an acquired taste... Thanks to Mr Kok we managed to record this in video for you to see ! The fruits will form and in a couple of months Mr Kok will harvest them. He acquired the saplings from the forest after a search with some Natives. He bud grafted them onto 10 trees and now have about 50 trees. According to the Natives the forest trees have a huge circumference. Most of the fruits are less than a kilo each and he just offer them to his friends. How does the fruits taste? This species is from the wild and Mr Kok says  the taste is new and have to get used to. Nevertheless, his friend have all liked the taste of this "new" breed. What's it called ? Acoording to Mr Kok, the Natives called it "sempak susu", while his friends have  named it "XO King" and Monkey King"! Whatever it is, his blm will surely be a sight to cherish!
