Fireworks were sure flyin’ for Selena Gomez, who packed on the PDA over 4th of July weekend with a surprising smooch, and naturally, the Interweb has lost ALL chill.
Well, she kissed a girl… and it seems as though she really liked it. Let freedom ring, right?
All thanks to a little thing we like to call social media, and more specifically Snapchat, it’s no question that Selena Gomez had the time of her life hosting and documenting her own 4th of July party over the weekend, which included, jumping into pools fully clothed, dancing to the best summer tunes and spreading the love… by smoochin’ up on her best friends…
That’s right, Selena and good friend Ruby Carr from musical group Bahari, who opens for Selena on the Revival Tour, posted a video to her Snapchat featuring the two dancing along to music when suddenly Sel wraps her arms around Ruby’s neck, and plants a big one on her.
And cue Katy Perry… Maybe it was the taste of her cherry chapstick? Or maybe it was just the taste of some Jose Cuervo… Regardless, it was only a lighthearted peck between pals. However, the internet went into a hilarious rage of envy when the 5-second video was quickly tossed around the Twittersphere, as many fans commented things like, “I’M DEAD… EVERY GIRL’S DREAM.”
Many users freaked out, wondering if they could also get a kiss, one fan writing, “SELENA GOMEZ KISSED A GIRL ON THR LIPS SO DOES THIS MEAN I CAN GET A KISS FROM MY QUEEN?” Another user was apparently too shocked to use actual words, writing “SELENA I WSNT THIS TOO NSLKDFJSLKSDF”
SAME, GIRL… We feel ya.
