A Barisan Nasional supporter collapsed and died as he was waiting outside the nomination centre at Dewan Seri Cempaka in Semenyih, Selangor on Saturday.
Mamat Awang, 59, from Kuala Terengganu was part of an entourage accompanying Barisan candidate Zakaria Hanafi to file his nomination papers at the community hall.
A doctor from a private healthcare centre later declared him dead but the cause has yet to be determined.
