Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Jalil chided PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah for not going for a third term in Lembah Pantai.
“Before even ending her term, the present people’s representative here is running away to another place because she is afraid.
“She knows that if she is the candidate this time, ku rasa mati lah (she will fail).
“At first she said she was the ‘puteri’ (princess) but after two terms people know she can’t do work. That’s why she is trying her chances in a safe seat,” Shahrizat said, referring to Nurul’s moniker “Puteri Reformasi”.
Back in 2008, Nurul unseated Shahrizat, then the constituency’s three-term MP, and later retained her seat in the 2013 elections.
