DAP's candidate for the Bandar Utama state seat Jamaliah Jamaluddin denied that her late grandmother Shamsiah Fakeh's role as the former Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) leader would prove to be an obstacle.
She said that she saw Shamsiah as someone who fought for the nation and she was an inspiration and idol to her.
Jamaliah, 29, also explained that she chose DAP because of its principles and ideology.
