It didn’t take long for us to fall in love with Centineo’s character Peter Kavinsky in the Netflix rom-com ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ and now he’s back in the new film ‘Sierra Burgess is a Loser’ as Jamey.
Working with Noah and having him be your first on-screen kiss was understandably very nerve wrecking for actress Shannon Purser.
The 21- year old spilled all the tea as to what it was like working with him and most importantly having him be her love interest.
Purser said QUOTE, “From the very beginning, he was really supportive. He wanted to be the best acting partner I could have, and he is just as charming as you would expect him to be”. She shared just how scared and intimidated she is of kissing and went on to say, “but doing it on camera is definitely a new level of intimidation, but it was really good, actually. Noah was really nice and made sure that everything was okay with me before we did it and I think it worked out well.”
According to Shannon, the scene took a couple of takes to perfect. She said that in order to foster genuine anticipation, the director wouldn’t let her, and Noah speak to each other before the scene. She goes on to explain QUOTE, “It was a bit much but I think it got a real performance and you really got a grasp on how conflicted Sierra was feeling before that scene.”
Despite shooting the movie in only 21-days, Purser said she and Noah had instant chemistry since the beginning and rated the kiss an 11.
