PKR's Sungai Kandis assemblyperson Mat Shuhaimi Shafiei died this morning, aged 50.
Funeral prayers for Shuhaimi were performed at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque in Shah Alam.
He was laid to rest at the Section 21 Muslim cemetery in Shah Alam, after Asar prayers.
Shuhaimi had served as Azmin's political secretary when the latter was Selangor menteri besar.
Meanwhile, current Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari, in a statement, described Shuhaimi as a committed and responsible assemblyperson, who is well liked by his constituents.
