PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has urged former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak to go ahead with the planned debate on the financially troubled Sapura Energy Berhad as soon as possible instead of flip-flopping on the matter.

The opposition leader pointed out that Najib initiated the challenge for them to debate and he has already agreed to it.

"I hope Najib will not flip-flop further. He challenged me (to answer) and I responded. God willing, let's meet,” he said in a video on Facebook.

The two sides cannot agree on a time and date, but Anwar indicated that he’s ready to proceed without delay.
