The brand new star wars episode 8 teaser just went live today and the internet is freaking out.
And what Luke says at the end of the teaser has fan theories already running wild.
If you don't already know, there is a fan frenzy happening RIGHT NOW in orlando florida for the Star Wars Celebration Festival. What a good friday indeed for star wars fans all around the world. The hype train for star wars can't be stopped, and last night writer-director Rian Johnson spent his night last night gretting thousands of fans waiting in line for this.
So let's break down this teaser a little bit, they certainly leave a lot to the imagination. From what fans are gathering, it's really looking like we are going on a ride this christmas. The film picks up right after the last with Rey, but they are introducing a few new fresh faces to the cast including Laura Dern, Benicio del Toro, and Kelly Marie Tran.
The trailer feels pretty ominous, but oh so exciting at the same time. It starts with Rey on the very same island we saw luke in “the force awakens”. It definitely looks like we are going to see some Luke and Rey training action going on, I already have chills. We also saw a destroyed helmet overlaid with sounds of Darth Vader's breathing. And it looks like Finn is in some type of stasis pod. And of course, Kylo Ren brandishing his lightsaber.
The part that got everybody talking though. Was the very end of the teaser when you hear luke say what is surely going to be an iconic line from the series. He says “I only know one truth…
